Adult and Child by Zubel Kachadoorian

Drawing

A pen and ink drawing done by Kachadoorian Zubel, that may be of a mother and child. The "mother" is presented in profile while the child looks at the viewer. This image is in black ink on tan paper and set within a brushed chrome frame. It also has a black, assymetrical mat with a white border. On the back of the frame there is a pocket which contains a piece of paper with a handwritten note on it which reads, "To Jeannie Love, Zubel 1961." All Saints' Church by Cora Bliss Taylor

All Saints' Church by Cora Bliss Taylor

Painting

Cora Bliss Taylor, "All Saints' Church", no date - water color and gouache, matted and framed. Taylor depicts the All Saints' Saugatuck entrance tower. Here, she captures the charm of one of Michigan's finest Carpenter Gothic churches. The technique used here transforms the iconic Saugatuck church into an arrangement of abstract patterns and shapes. The angularity and color thrust the eye upward toward "heaven."
