Richard Andrew Chase 1891 - 1985 Portrait of Clara Daisy Gamble c. 1935 | oil on canvas Notes: Richard Andrew Chase was born in Columbus, Kansas. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under Karl Buehr, Leopold Seyffert, Leon Kroll and George Oberteuffer and at the Cape Cod School of Art Under Charles Hawthorne and Richard Miller. Chase exhibited at the Taylor Art School in Saugatuck, Michigan and, possibly, taught there. Clara Gamble was a member of the House family of Saugatuck.
