Peggy Boyce Born: c. 1930 The Marina c. 1960? | oil on canvas board Notes: Peggy Boyce was raised in an artistic family; her grandmother was an early member of the Saugatuck Art Association, and her mother studied at Ox-Bow. When her eight children were all in school, Boyce returned to Grand Valley State University to obtain a teaching certificate. She taught art at West Ottawa High School in Holland, 1973 - 1994. In addition to painting, Peggy works with paper making, weaving and jewelry design. This image captures a marina on the Douglas side of Kalamazoo Lake. In the distance we see the Big Pavilion.
