This mid-century modern home sits high above Lake Michigan in Pier Cove, south of Douglas. The living room’s floor-to-ceiling windows provide the perfect setting for conversations inspired by history, the Lake setting, and breathtaking design. Renowned architect Florence “Danny” Hunn designed the home; she is featured in the SDHC’s HerStory exhibition.
The History Center’s “On Location” series invites attendees to gather in unique spaces and places for an exclusive view of the area’s historical richness. This evening series pairs wine and refreshments with an informal and engaging history tour. Join us on select Thursdays this spring to (re)discover historic cottages, businesses, and institutions across the Lakeshore area.
