Photograph
View from an elevated position of a building with a simple roof. A shed addition on the east side of the building has a tall smokestack. The building is south of the swing bridge causeway to Douglas. Douglas and the basket factory can be seen on the other side of the Kalamazoo.
This entry also includes various digital scans of other prints of the photo.

The building is sometimes refereed to as the Clipson Mill or Clipson Brewery. The tall smokestack suggests industrial activity. The 1873 Titus Atlas indicates a stave mill was at this location; the brewery was the next lot upriver.
