Signed, first-edition, hardcover book with matching dust jacket that features "Rivers Edge," a predominately yellow painting by James Brandess. The complete painting is shown on page 6 of the book.
The book in inscribed to "To Chris and Charles with gratitude and appreciation" and signed by Jim Brandess and "Marley!" [a dog].
Self published by James Brandess in 2015, no publisher. Rachel Hefferan is credited for assembling and editing the information.
The book is divided into four chapters, each devoted to one of the four seasons, and filled with full-page color reproductions of Brandess paintings. There is little text beyond the titled, size and media of each painting and an aritist's statement on the last page.

James Brandess is a landscape painter who has lived and worked in Saugatuck since 1987. His studio is a fixture on Butler Street, located in the "old post office." His work celebrates the local landscape and he is an example of a fine artist that has found a way to make a living in town.
