Scope and ContentVarious travel guides from Saugatuck and Michigan, along with ads from local businesses. The majority of these items are more recent, with the exception of a few objects dating to the 1930s and 1950s. These are all the original materials and there doesn't seem to be an obvious reason for the collection, other than they are from Saugatuck. The ads consist of flyers, brochures, and business cards from restaurants, shops, hotels, etc in the area. The travel guides are typical travel guides for Michigan with popular locations and attractions pointed out along the road. There is also a copy of the book "Publicity and Promotion Guide for Businesses," which dates to 1950.
