The structures on the right side of the image is the Cook Boat House, a boat livery yard. A man is fishing with a pole from a perch a piling. This site later became the Tourists' Home hotel. "Cook Boat House" and "Boats to Let" written on the building behind the sailboat.
The ferry landing is on the left side of the image. Two men are sitting at the ferry landing
