Mention of 25th anniversary celebration planned to commemorate Thomas Johnson's purchase of the Saugatuck business in 1958. Articles on history of Coral Gables restaurant group in East Lansing and across Michigan included along with feature on Saugatuck/Douglas history then and now. Breakfast and lunch items along with snacks and drinks listed on inside of menu.

2018.27.01 Menu Open 2018.27.01 Menu Back Source: SDHS newsletter pg. 263; An advertisement for The Galley, a part of the Coral Gables complex, when lake perch were plentiful. This ad is from the late 1960's. The small restaurant is on the lower level on the river water side of the building and was frequently flooded in the 1970's and early 1980's during high water. It was also known for hot home made donuts during breakfast hours.
