The photos is heavily creased. Tape has been used on the back of the photo to stabilize tears. "Press Photography, wm. d. bender, jr., 2049 N. Kedvale Ave., Chicago" is stamped on the back of the photo in green ink. Handwritten on the back of the photos is "26 yrs old" and a list of ballrooms. The legible ballrooms include Merry Garden, Paradise, Aragon, Edgewater Beach Hotel, Band Box - in the Loop and Steven's Hotel.

An incoming loan form dated 7/7/94 indicates the photo were loaned for the Big Pavilion exhibit by Bob Drysch, 110 S. Ashland, LaGrange, IL, 60525/402 Elizabeth Saugatuck.
According to Kit Lane's History of Western Allegan County, F231, Drysch wroked with the Freddie Daw and Emil Flindt Orchestras, both 12-piece ballroom dance bands in the 1930-40s. After WWII he organized a 4-piece band to play at the Tara.
