Ferry Rowboat
Object/Artifact
Flat-bottom wooden boat clad with metal. The boat has a transom or flat bow rather that a pointed bow. This style of boat is also called a pram, a lighter, a dinghy or a punt. A motor mount was added to the stern of the craft. There is no sign of oarlocks.
Rowboat believed to be used as Saugatuck ferry in the 1940s and 1950s when there was no chain ferry service.
