Here's a few photos from 1914 on Arcadia . 1- Olga 2- Henry 3-
Olga, Henry, Edna & Arnold. I don't know who the two men are that are
with the horses. I know they had a farm hand with the last name of
Beery, supposedly a relation of Wallace Beery. If I can find a photo
that is labeled, I'll send that also. The pics of the geese are later
in years, but don't know when. You can see the house in the background
(not very well though) The last is of Edna with her first fur coat.
She's 18, I think. The barn burned at one point and the 1914 pics are
damaged from the fire (most evident in the group pic)
I have a package of just odds and ends ephemera that will go out
tomorrow.

I don't remember who I sold this to, but it's a brochure for Camp Oak
Openings. (could have been Kemperman) Jeanette & Arnold sent her
daughter Elizabeth ( mom Helen went with her one summer) I'll pass it
along in case it is of interest. The nice thing about email is if you
don't want it, you can just delete! I'll just pass anything Saugatuck
along to you so you can decide what you want to keep .

Henry John Barr worked in Chicago while his spouse Olga ran a farm, dairy and guest house at the "old Falconer farm" at 1119 (?) Allegan Street. In 1920, they moved to the Whitney homestead at 6594 Old Allegan Road. Henry and Olga had two children: Edna and Arnold.
