DescriptionVery early of Koning Hardware building, before the brick building was built in the 1890s and likely when Jan Nies of Holland was still a partner. The front door and windows of the main building is shadowed by an awning. A side building is painted with text "John Koning Hardware, sash doors, farm implements" A row barrels is on display. Butler Street is unpaved. According to "Raising the Roof" by James Schmiechen, the structure was destroyed by a fire that originated in the side building in 1903.
